Animation

The film “Orca” based on one of the stories from “Songs of Mama Shamana” book was filmed under the direction of Katerina Kuznetsova and Masha Bardak. The cartoon is made in the combined technique of graffito and translation. The graffito technique makes it possible to implement the principle of hand-drawn animation on a plasticine substrate.

Short film

Several short films were presented as a final work on film montage univercity course. Honestly, I don’t remember what was the name of the university but I really liked this film among the others.

Theatre

Enchanting and unforgettable show that immerses you in the atmosphere of the North, a journey through the worlds of spirits – that’s what “Mama Shaman” is all about. The performance incorporates puppetry, masks, animation, shadow theater, snowfall, and interactive interaction with the audience.

The modern youth theater-studio “MUESLI” regularly represents Tula and Russia at the international level, and has been a multiple participant and winner of international theater festivals in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Spain, Germany, and Morocco.

Shadow theatre

Tales of Mama Shamana is a shadow theatre project built around simple stories told with light, silhouettes, and handmade figures. It brings together folk tales from different cultures and original short stories about the Shaman’s Mother — a calm, grounded character who observes life and quietly responds to it. The stories are made to be watched by children and adults together. They are easy to follow, sometimes funny, sometimes thoughtful, and leave space for the viewer to make their own meaning. Dragons, animals, and people appear as shadows, keeping the focus on movement, rhythm, and atmosphere rather than spectacle.
